Pianoforte Tuners’ Association
The professional body which has a large Membership both in the UK and abroad.  Founded in 1913, Members have to pass a test of proficiency in Tuning, Repairs and product knowledge.  Only Members who have taken and passed this test are listed on the PTA website under the section “Find A Tuner”.

Institute of Musical Instrument Technology
A professional Association which covers a larger range of instrument technicians and manufacturers, including but not limited to piano tuners. Luthiers, Organ builders and tuners, wind, reed and string instrument makers belong to this Association.

Chas Foulds & Son, Derby
Family run business for whom I worked in the 1980’s.  Vast range of sheet music, instrument sales and pianos and one thing they are very well known for, instrument rental – including pianos.

Jacques Samuel Pianos
